Following is background information about the members of the Atlas Steel Products management team.
John Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer and Director
Joined Atlas in 1996 and became chief financial officer in 2003. Assumed leadership role when Lawrence J. “Bo” Burr died April 28, 2008. Previously was employed by Wheeler Boyce Co., Stow, Ohio. Earned bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting) in 1993 and MBA in 1995, both from Kent State University.
Fred Berrara, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Director
Has been with Atlas since 1988, previously serving as VP operations since 1999. Attended Illinois State University.
John Zemon, Vice President Stainless Sales and Marketing and Director
With Atlas since 1999 and named VP Stainless Steel Marketing in February 2008. Received bachelor of science from University of Miami in 1974.
Donald Bair, Vice President Stainless Product Sales and Director
Joined Atlas in February 2008. Previously was national stainless steel manager for Ken-Mac Metals, Cleveland, from 1989 through 2007. Earned bachelor’s in business administration from Kent State University in 1974.
George Gastel, Vice President Purchasing
Joined Atlas in 1997 and has been purchasing manager since 1998. Received bachelor of science degree in business administration from The Ohio State University in 1978 and his MBA from Cleveland State University in 1988.
Joanne Meredith, Vice President Administration
With Atlas since 1983 and VP administration since 1998. Received bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 1960.
Jim Fisher, Vice President Quality Assurance
Has been with Atlas since 1990, serving as manager of quality assurance and customer service since 1996. Earned bachelor of arts from Hiram College in 2000. Served in U.S. Army from 1986 to 1990.
Vicki Widmor, Vice President Aluminized and Tubular Products
Joined Atlas in 1998. Became tubular product manager and inside sales manager in 2003. Received juris doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2002 and bachelor of arts from Kent State University in 1998.
